Modibbo Ahmadu Aminu Liman was born in 1970. He studied the Qur’an and other basic Islamic knowledge from his father, Malam Aminu Liman, the former chief Imam of Mayo-balwa town in Adamawa state. He obtained his first school leaving certificate in 1987 from a primary school in Mayo-Balwa. He enrolled into an Islamic secondary school, Sheikh Zahur School in Hong Local Government of Adamawa state from 1988 to 1999. Modibbo Ahmadu furthered his education to study Civic Law at the College for Legal Studies Yola where he read Arabic and Islamic Studies and finished in 2003.

Howerver, Modibbo Ahmadu Aminu Liman began the exegesis (tafsir) of the Holy Qur’an in Mayo-balwa central mosque in 1996. After years of tafsir, the council finally requested him to settle fully in Mayo-balwa and continue to educate the ummah. Modibbo Ahmadu Aminu Liman is now the chief Imam of Mayo-balwa central mosque and he holds various positions in committees and council from within the state and the local government.

He is the chairman Jama’atu Nasril Islam Mayo-Balwa Local Government, Chairman Council for Imams Mayo-Balwa, Board member, Adamawa state Muslim Pilgrimage Welfare Board 2016, Chairman Qur’anic Recitation Committee, Mayo-Balwa Local Government, 2016 and Chairman Muslim Council Mayo-Balwa Local Government Area.
